I was surprised, in a good way, how well the sage color turned out to actually match the picture online. We like bedspreads that aren't bulky and since we have cats that curl up with us, bedspreads must be machine-washable at home. I also can't sleep under thick comforters because even in the dead of the Pacific Northwest winter, they are too warm for me. It's actually hard to find nice-looking, non-bulky bedspreads like this one. It did have a few loose threads on the tape that trims the edges. The fabric is definitely pretty plain. It may last two winters - I put a very light spread on the bed for summer so nothing is in use for more than six months in our house. But I've gone from shopping for really expensive bedspreads of alleged high quality to just looking for ones like this. The pricey ones do not last any longer and in fact can start looking shabby rather quickly. So why not just use something more ordinary in the first place? We dress our bed up with pillows and call it good.
