For starters, I spent a good deal of time looking for the best quality quilt I could find. I searched high and low. I uncovered every possibility. I wanted the best I could find without having to fork out over six hundred to a thousand bucks.Want to save yourself all the time I spent looking?Easy. Get this quilt. Here are some other options and comments:1. The Amish make incredible quilts if you want to still drop that six hundred to a thousand bucks (in fact, they may be the best you'll find short of option number 2):2. Have someone you know who makes quilts make you one or pay someone to hand make one for you.3. That's pretty much it. Oh yeah. You can also opt to buy garbage for a lot less. Remember what you already know: buy the best and cry once and be done with it.A few other comments:The quality of this thing is incredible. It's hand stitched and remarkable. The colors and patterns and materials are perfect and yeah, I'm a pain in the a$$ and I routinely hate everything that isn't the best. Well, maybe I don't *hate* everything, but I'm certainly a harsh critic. If you are, too, than you'll love this quilt.Size: Very large. I have a regular king and a very deep mattress (maybe 18 plus inches?) and this quilt still almost hits the floor. You've got to love that (and expect it if you're paying this much).Thickness: This quilt has a great feel. It's nice and thick. Note that I live in FL and I keep my place like an icebox (68 degrees). I know. It doesn't make sense and I should move to cooler climates but it is what it is. Anyway, I like to keep the A/C on high, freeze my colunes off and stay under a warm blanket/quilt/etc. This quilt easily keeps me warm so I'm sure it will work in cooler climes.Oh yeah. One more thing:I'm a guy. Which means I didn't want a queefy, flowery, girly girl quilt. No problem with this one. It's manly without having moose heads and stuff like that all over it. I have nothing against moose, I just don't want to have them on my bed linens.I've had this almost a month now and sometimes I will take a moment and marvel at the quality of this quilt. I also bought the pillow shams. They aren't cheap but sometimes EB will run a 25 percent off thing so keep an eye out. They may be running one right now as I paid $349.00 for the king and I see it's selling for about $300.00 here at Amazon. Well worth it at either price I'd say.In summary I went back and forth on this for a while thinking I should just get something cheaper and in the end I decided to just go for excellent quality. I'm never unhappy when I choose quality over saving a few bucks. Hopefully you'll feel the same way.Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new quilt. You'll LOVE getting into bed at night under this - that much I can promise you.

I searched for weeks for the perfect quilt. And upon one glowing and very thorough review I decided this one was the right one for me. And boy is it ever! It's beautiful to set your eyes upon. It feels good to the touch. The weight is perfect and the sizing it too. We use ours on our king bed in our 5th wheel and think I might need another one for home. The colors are accurately displayed but the pattern is misleading as I too thought the shams were for another quilt. I did find one image that showed the whole blanket but it didn't do it justice in how stunning the red diamond pattern is in the middle.Get it. You won't be sorry!
