Color looks great in my gray/white/black bedroom. Could be the lighting of the room that makes it look brown. Very soft. Love it! This replaces another duvet cover purchased in Dec. that pilled already. This seems much better in quality. Wish I had seen it before.

We have a small master's bedroom in our brand new DC-style rowhouse. White walls, espresso dark brown cabinets on the wall directly opposite the foot of the bed, cream-colored carpeted floors, cocoa-colored (looks like warm taupe) velvet tufted wingback bed (by Skyline Furniture). I am good with color so I knew gray would not look good as bedding. I did not think brown would be a good option either because there would be too much brown. We will have a brown room. When I saw this duvet cover, I loved the Cubism print. I love geometric prints, mid-century modern, retro, and color contrasts. I didn't want any wild colors in our bedroom but I wanted to keep our statement look. And reading the reviews, everyone said it looked brown. THANK YOU REVIEWERS! You all helped a lot. Warm gray was the perfect color. Note that there is a difference between cool gray and warm gray. This duvet to me is a warm gray color. It is not brown, and it is not too gray. So the color contrasts well with our dark brown closets, and it complements the color of warm taupe/cocoa-colored upholstered bed. We washed it before using and it fits our king comforter just fine.

I was very excited to order this, due to the fantastic print, and the fact that it is made of cotton. It is a 300 thread count duvet, and after I received it, I immediately noticed how smooth and soft it is. I doubt I will have to worry about my wedding ring or nails getting snagged on it in the future, but I will update if this happens. I "somewhat" agree with the first review in that the color can seem more brown than grey. However, this must depend on the lighting, because later it definitely looked charcoal. Either way, it is a modern and beautiful color!When buying, keep in mind that the King size shams are very much "King" size! My standard pillows swim in them, but I don't mind getting new pillows ;)Also, this is what comes in the package: duvet & 2 shams. Nothing more, nothing less. Overall, great product.

If I wanted a brown duvet cover, this would have been a 5-star review. I like the cover a lot: it's soft and holds up well to multiple washings.
