I bought the king size comforter. It fits the bed very well. Very beautiful! & it does actually looks hand-stitched.

I found this product to be similar in quality to a lot of "bed in a bag" type products -- passable, decent, but not high quality by any means. Not low quality, just not great.First of all, the color doesn't look to me to be taupe exactly -- I think it's closer to grey. It's grey with a hint of taupe, I guess...but it will not look very good in a beige/taupe themed room.The purple design on the back is not impressive -- not really something you'd ever want to have face up. That was a disappointment.The material itself is kind of thin -- really, ok for the price, but a bit stiff and not the sort of thing that you instantly want to cuddle up with.Finally, I would almost describe this more as a comforter than a quilt -- it's not quite thin or quilted enough to be considered a quilt, in my opinion. I would describe it as a thin comforter.So overall, just average. OK quality for college or a first apartment, maybe an occasionally used guest room, or for someone on a budget. I just don't think it looks as nice in person as it does in the picture, and it's not as cozy as most quilts I've owned.

[Review for Queen Gray Gardenia, Comforter + 2 shams]I thought I would offer a different perspective. Having a mother who was a seamstress, I was taught to look at "objective" things in bedding material, like thread count, fill power, fabric & dye quality, etc (as opposed to more "subjective" claims like, "I like it", or "It felt warm"). For example, something can feel really soft at the store, then fall apart during the first wash.This is a really interesting product, manufactured by Amazon itself (they own the brand Pinzon). I give it a couple points for having an interesting pattern, being machine washable, and being reversible. But it has many problems:=====-> THREAD COUNT & STITCHING:Not advertised (probably for a reason), but I would estimate a 200-range thread count. Ok for a dorm room bed set, rarely used guest room, etc. ... but I would never use it.For seams, they used a straight single-stitch - seems tight, but for this price range I would really expect a higher quality stitch or double-stitch. The batting (i.e., quilt) stitching is about 1" apart, poorly done.-> PACKAGING:The VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) in the packaging are OFF THE CHARTS! The zippered plastic packaging smelled up my whole house (smells like cheap vinyl floor), and even after a wash, the comforter still smells of it.This is a *huge* problem - you can tell Amazon just outsourced this to the cheapest Chinese supplier. It made my children nauseated just a few minutes after opening the box. I usually keep the zippered plastic for seasonal storage, but this had to go straight in the garbage.This can be easily remedied, I hope someone at Amazon realizes that VOCs are a huge health & environmental concern.-> COLOR:Another big problem - they mixed warm & cool colors, so it all comes out as "muddy". You can mix periwinkle with brown & aqua, but they all have to be warm tones. It looked interesting the photo, but in real life it will make your bedroom look small & sad.-> FABRIC:The package claims 100% cotton, but it almost feels like acrylic. If you've ever owned a nice comforter, you'll recognize the difference immediately.-> FILL:The fill is standard poly or acrylic, maybe 3/4" to 1". It's not a synthetic down, and nowhere close to real down. In other words, this is (at best) a 3-season comforter - only intended for looks or moderate climates. It is not intended to keep you warm.=====-> CONCLUSION:The quality is way too low for the price point (currently $109-$139 on Amazon). I would really put this on par with a $40 or $50 Walmart comforter. All things considered, this product is a mess, but I still hope to see more products by Amazon (i.e,. Pinzon brand).The lesson here should be: You cant have a project manager pick out colors, fabrics, & packaging from a catalog, and hope the final product works. You've got to have an experienced designer hand-pick these things if you want it all to come together.

Buyer beware- the color is more black and cream than white. I'm disappointed. It isn't nearly as pretty as the picture. It looks like the fabric is aged.

The comforter has a nice soft feel and is lightweight but came with an overpowering chemical smell that is not tolerable. I even washed it twice which reduced the smell, but it still wasn't gone and so I had to return it. It was bad enough to give me a headache.

Seems like after a few dozen washings it will fall apart. More like gauze material... and the price has tripled since I bought it - the question is why? Surely the Eastern Indians are not getting the difference.

I was very disappointed that this quilt was so thin. If you hold it up you can see right thru it like a sheet.poor quality

I read some bad reviews about this looking cheap, smelling like chemicals and not being 100% cotton. First off, the shams are great quality and 100% cotton, NO SMELL AT ALL- JUST a slight "new smell like any other blanket it has to be washed so I didn't experience that AT ALL. A 1,000% PLUS for me is that the polyester batting app 1 1/4" thick is all sewn into place maintop it durable and when you wash it the polyester batting won't slide around and bunch up- I've had that happen when the batting wasn't sewn in in 2 blankets and had to throw them away :( . This set should hold up well to washing, drying, cats kneeding (that's a issue I have) and the print is great, very versatile, sheek and goes with anything. The quilt is reversible and is a nice shade of neutral colors so it's perfect for a male or female! LOVE IT!!! I just wish it came with a dust ruffle but great BANG for your buck!

I am very impressed with this Pinzon Quilt Set. It is more of a comforter quilt than a traditional quilt. It is two large pieces of fabric quilted together and stuffed with polyester on the inside. This is a very nice set. I received the Black/White Damask in queen. I was a little worried that this would be too small for my bed since we normally prefer king sized comforters for our queen bed. My Husband and I are both "blanket hogs" and like for the comforter to hang down a few feet on each side. This quilt is sized very generously. I actually went back and checked the packaging after putting it on our bed to make sure it said "queen". It did! It definitely hangs down a foot or two off of each side of the bed & there is plenty of quilt at the foot of the bed as well.The material is 100% cotton and it is very soft and pillowy. It is the type of quilt you want to fall onto after a long, hard day at work. The stitching seems to be well done and I could not find any loose strings or problems with the quilt we received. The quilt is light on stuffing on the inside, so it may not be ideal if you live in Alaska or colder states. I live in Florida and it is perfect for us. It covers you up and keeps you warm without making you sweat like crazy.I also love that this quilt set is reversible. You can change the entire look of your room with the flip of this quilt. It has the strong white and black floral damask pattern on one side and a softer grey and white scroll pattern on the other side.This set also comes with two pillow shams. The pillow shams also have both reversible designs on them, but you will probably want to face out the black and white side since the grey side has the envelope seem in the center of the sham.I would certainly recommend Pinzon and I would buy their products in the future. If any problems arise with this product I will edit my review. After my first impression, inspection and two good nights of sleep: It gets 5 stars.
