Brown, 66, was sentenced to five days in jail after he became "pretty raucous" and "challenged the authority" of Magistrate Harold Horne, another judge told CNN. He was later released on his own recognizance, CNN Memphis affiliate WMC-TV reported, citing the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.

Brown, a former Shelby County criminal judge, was in court to represent a client in a child-support case. He apparently became upset when he was told the case was not on the afternoon docket, Chief Magistrate Dan Michael said.

Horne, who "is a real laid-back guy," gave Brown several chances to calm down before finding him in contempt, Michael said.

If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would. I wanted to redo my bedroom without costs a fortune and looved the look of this online. I kind of hoped that the color would be more vibrant in person. What's The Last Moment To Fill Out NCAA Tournament Brackets? Different ...

SUNNYVALE (CBS SF) Every March, 60 million Americans or more fill out NCAA brackets, predicting the winner of the mens basketball championship. A good percentage are doing it to be part of the pop culture phenomenon, not because they are sports fans, and this fact leads to mind-numbing confusion about the championship and the office pool.

With games being played this week, even as you fill out your brackets, many people are confused about when they are due, and the answer to that can be even more confusing.

Bottom line? Theyre due when the dude from accounting running your office pool says they are due. But when are they REALLY due?

The CBS Local national contest that youve heard about on KPIX 5, KCBS Radio, Alice, 99.7 [NOW!], AND LIVE 105 gives you until Thursday, March 20th, 2014, at, fifteen (15) minutes prior to scheduled tipoff in the first game of the first full round of the mens college basketball tournament (the Tournament) on Thursday, March 20, 2014 (the Cutoff). The games are on KPIX 5, starting at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time, so you can watch and see how your bracket does before lunchtime.

But, as noted above, the entry deadline is when the guy running it says theyre due. The other big national contest, the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket in coordination with Sunnyvales Yahoo, set their own deadlines. If you want a billion bucks, the official rules give the deadline as 10 p.m. Pacific time Wednesday, 1:00 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday, March 20th, 2014.

So what about the games being played before you turn in the brackets? Theyre called First Four and Play In games. Four teams will have been eliminated to give you the official field of 64 on those nice, symmetrical brackets you fill out for Thursday. Youll probably spot that in the bracket, where you see two options separated with a slash like CP/TS and IA/TN. Only one of those teams will be part of The Big Dance come Thursday.

To make matters even more confusing, dozens of other NCAA games are in progress for the NITthats National Invitational Tournament. and CBI College Basketball Invitational. Ignore them. Your brackets are just for the NCAA Tournament (unless that dude in accounting is REALLY a hoops fan and runs a weird pool).

Now you know, so go fill out the NCAA Tournament brackets, but watch the deadlines, because you could lose a billion dollars if youre late.

It boasts that it's a king sized quilt but it barely hangings down the side my queensize bed. That was a big disappointment. I buy king on function just so that a quilt will hang more like a cover. It is VERY frivolous so it's beyond doubt for radiator climates. The color is sweet. The shams are fullsize. It's ok for the price I paid, as most akin kingsize quit sets from other retailers would have been about dual so I got what I paid for.

I prearranged two twin sets. Each came with two Euro type pillow shams... I used these on a day bed with a trundle. The comforters are not the big fluffy type. They're light weight. Not heavy weighted comforters. I loved the color... The brown was rich and dark. The material has a affront satin sheen to them, which is what I wanted. The grandkids and the dogs have stomped all over them this weekend, and they are still holding up. I don't know how easy they are to tear, but we surely didn't see any tearing or splitting seams even with the workout my grandsons gave the sets. The biggest surprise was the pillow shams. I didn't read that they were Euro. But, for my purposes, that worked out just fine. I did have to go out and buy Euro Pillows 2 for each set. They look splendid as a financial assistance on top of my day bed. All in all, I am extremely pleased.

I have been privileged to have 1000+ Egyptian cotton sheets, and the higher end sheets. Well they are NOTHING compared to these! They keep me from having night sweats (which i have fixed in expensive sheets), they are so silky smooth it honestly feels like I am sleeping in a cloud. DO NOT be hesitant about buying these even if you have been a blessed person with higher end sheets. I purchased these because we got a gift card and needed to use it up, so i decided i would just do an experiment with these and compare them to my expensive sheets. The only difference is the weight of the sheets, these are very set alight (not really thin) but set alight, my Egyptian cotton ones are very gray and would be perfect for winter and these perfect for summer. Either way if you have a thick comforter these will still be excellent even in winter! JUST try them, really i know you get what you pay for now, but just try them! YES they are microfiber in case no one bothered to read it, but hey they are so wonderful!

NCAA bracket predictions 2014: Hard to bet against Florida

College basketball's regular season has been all about parity and depth, and it's reflected in the announcement of the final field of 68 in the NCAA Tournament. Each region has multiple landmines waiting to blow up your bracket. In a season defined by widespread talent across Division I, there seems to be no safe bets to reach the Final Four in Dallas. Each region has its own set of intrigue.

The South is just murderous, with No. 1 overall seed Florida, a possibly Joel Embiid-less Kansas, a talented Syracuse team that can't seem to get out of its own way and fourth-seeded UCLA, who just earned an extremely impressive victory in the Pac-12 title game against the No. 1 seed in the West, Arizona.

The most intriguing matchup of the first weekend could be the Jayhawks vs. No. 7 New Mexico, who have a behemoth in the middle in 7-foot center Alex Kirk. Kansas will have a major talent advantage on the wings, but can point guard Naadir Tharpe hold his own on both sides of the ball to allow the Jayhawks to make a run?

New Mexico is no slouch. The Lobos won the Mountain West Tournament and beat Cincinnati earlier in the season. It's easy to fall in love with the NBA potential on the Jayhawks roster, but that could be a tough matchup for Bill Self's team. That's an upset to keep your eye on.

Florida vs. UCLA in the Sweet 16 would be a fantastic matchup, as well. The Gators haven't lost since Dec. 2, but this particular Bruins team boasts a lot of firepower. If the Gators can get past the Bruins, they'll be the favorites to cut down the nets in Dallas.

The Midwest is a lot of fun, too. It's easy to complain about Louisville's placement as a four seed, but it'll have a favorable path to the Sweet 16. There, the Cardinals are likely to meet No. 1 Wichita State, that is if the undefeated Shockers can get by a possible matchup with Kentucky in the round of 32. Yes, that's a meeting of a team that was supposed to go 40-0 vs. one that actually went 34-0.

Michigan and Duke would make for a juicy Sweet 16 meeting in the bottom half of the bracket, but the Blue Devils better be on upset alert with Mercer in the first round. The Bears are formidable.

It's hard to see how anyone picks Wichita State over Louisville if it gets that far with the way the Cards are playing right now. Somehow, I don't think the Shockers will mind. They're used to it at this point after making a run to the Final Four last year.

In the West, Arizona will be tested by No. 9 Oklahoma State in the second round, but the Wildcats should have enough athletes to defend the perimeter against the Cowboys to get past them.

The rest of the West is an interesting clash in style, most notably with Creighton surrounded by a group of long defensive teams. How much magic will Doug McDermott have in March?

The East is extremely deep. All eyes will be on the Cincinnati vs. Harvard meeting in the first round as a No. 5 vs. No. 12 game. No. 6 North Carolina and No. 7 UConn have the type of elite guard play that usually shines in March. Providence just proved it's no afterthought too by outlasting Creighton in the Big East title game. No. 1 Virginia should be leery of the No. 8 vs. No. 9 game between Memphis and George Washington, but the Hoos' defense should be enough to propel them.

In the end, I like Florida, Iowa State, Arizona and Louisville to reach the Final Four, with Florida winning the whole thing. The Gators have aced every test thrown their way thus far. This isn't the time to doubt them.

Its called an all season comforter, and I hope it will be lukewarm sufficient as temps actually drop. Its owing to for Costco in Plates, although it says Australian skin on the box. Pricing skin comforters, this is in this area as low-cost as they get. I shopped like crazy to do better. Also, the ad says its machine washable--my packaging says stain clean with soap and water and dry clean only. Also to air fluff in dryer before using to increase loft, which I haven't tried yet.

Juan Pablo could be the most detested bachelor in history of show

It's no secret there's been a ton of negativity surrounding this season of The Bachelor. But while fans, celebrity and otherwise, have shared their distaste for Season 18 star Juan Pablo, it's also been one of the most talked-about seasons in the series' 14-year history. Which begs the question: Does a detested Bachelor actually make for a more successful season?

When host Chris Harrison announced on The Bachelorettes After the Final Rose special in August that Juan Pablo was the franchise's newest star, the immediate reaction was mixed. Fans seemed excited to finally have a minority Bachelor, but Juan Pablo was also viewed by some as a questionable choice.

Unlike past seasons that starred a previously rejected contestant, viewers knew very little about Juan Pablo. Eliminated in Week 6 on The Bachelorette without having had a one-on-one date, all we really knew was that Juan Pablo was a former professional soccer player from Venezuela with a 4-year-old daughter. How would he interact with women one-on-one on camera? How would he handle himself in interviews? How was he with his daughter? The only thing anyone knew with relative certainty: Juan Pablo was sexy, which, to be fair, is a very important characteristic when choosing the lead.

"You have to go with how you feel at the time and the information you have at the time, and, for us, Juan Pablo was easily the best choice at the time," Harrison tells TVGuide.com

Heading into the January season premiere, ABC played up Juan Pablo's Latin background with its "Juan-uary" promos. The network even announced three Sunday specials, culminating in a three-year ratings high for the show's premiere. But then came controversy. Just before the third episode, Juan Pablo infamously said in an interview that he didn't think the show should have a gay or bisexual star because gay people were "more pervert." The soundbite made headlines everywhere, and angry viewers and non-fans alike tweeted their disgust. Juan Pablo posted an apology, but the dust never really settled.

A couple weeks later, viewers were talking about Juan Pablo's late-night swim with Clare, which Juan Pablo later used to shame her. (He claimed he regretted the seemingly innocent rendezvous.) Towards the end of the season, another oddity occurred: Contestants left the show because they couldn't see a future with Juan Pablo. Whereas during most seasons the rejected women cried hysterically upon their eliminations, some of this season's ladies were honest in their lack of interest. Notably, opera singer Sharleen exited just before hometown dates saying, "There's a little voice in my head telling me that this is not right...The idea of proposal doesn't seem like something that is possible for me."

During fantasy suite week, Andi also left the show on her own accord, telling Juan Pablo that he had no respect for her, was immature, and couldn't care less about getting to know her. But, as is often the case, the supposed backlash against Juan Pablo actually translated to more buzz about the show.

"I've done more interviews random ones from Sports Radio to The New York Times about this season and the controversy surrounding him, including the remarks off-camera," Harrison says. And perhaps even more telling, at the "Women Tell All" special, for the first time the fights weren't between the girls, but with the star.

But has Juan Pablo actually hurt the franchise? Consider last season's star Sean Lowe, who was arguably the most liked Bachelor to date and who eventually married his winning contestant Catherine on an ABC special. But Sean's season had the lowest-rated premiere in the show's history and his finale garnered 10 million viewers, just a smidge ahead of Ben Flajniks Season 16 finale, but less than Seasons 13, 14 and 15. (It's worth noting that, after an initial spike generated from Juan Pablo's insensitive comments, viewership has been steadily dropping. Perhaps the Olympics or the return of The Voice are to blame, or maybe viewers lost interest around the same time Sharleen and Andi did.)

So, is Juan Pablo truly a "bad" Bachelor? "I don't know how you answer that," Harrison says. "Do you answer yes only if they go on and get married? Because there are plenty that haven't that were good too. I look at our fans; the ratings have been fantastic, the buzz around the show is insatiable and that makes for a good Bachelor. ... People want to follow Juan Pablo because he's unpredictable. People more and more want to talk about this and ask questions. Sean's decisions were cut and dry whereas Juan Pablo you're leaving scratching your head. So, a season like this draws you to discuss.

"We need you to love the Bachelor or hate the Bachelor because we need you to have an opinion," Harrison continues. "Apathy is what kills us, when you just don't care what happens. With Sean, there weren't any negatives and it was just a matter of who the lucky lady was going to be. With Juan Pablo, it's how are we going to land this plane with no landing gear and the pilot is passed out? I like the fact that there are both ends of the spectrum here. All I hope for is for you to have an opinion about Juan Pablo. Some people love him and will defend him, but then there are those who can't stand him and he gets on their last nerve."

Despite the way his missteps have created buzz, Harrison insists that the producers didn't cast Juan Pablo to be a lightning rod. "We didn't go into Juan Pablo's season thinking this guy is going to be really controversial on- and off-camera," Harrison says. "We thought he'd be the Latin version of Sean. [We thought,] he's a good family man looking for love, and turns out he's not in the way Sean was."

So, looking back, would Harrison have done it differently? "I have no regrets about him being the Bachelor," Harrison says. "It's a very different season, and, in my opinion, not a bad season. He's not a bad guy. When you have a very specific Bachelor with a different culture, a somewhat different language, yes it's going to narrow down the field and the women who will fall for this guy. But I think it's been very interesting. I can't even explain what a different journey this was for me and our fans. We're on a roller coaster and we're all just hanging on for dear life and have no idea what's coming next."

The Bachelor's three-hour finale airs on Monday at 8/7c on ABC.
